Can it / would it work solo?

Many games work well with solo play (assuming you have a few tools like Mythic GME or Oracle charts).

Masks is a good example of a game that does NOT work well with solo because of the need for teammates and team dynamics (to heal yourself, to have conversations and grow your characters.)

That's an interesting idea!

Honestly, I have no idea how well With Great Power would handle solo play, as I have almost no experience with solo play. Since the game is about elaborating creative responses to prompts from other players, I suppose it might work well. But I can't say for certain.

If you try it out, let me know how it goes!
